The School of Media Studies and Design is constituent to Quantum University, located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. It is a coed college and is exactly 22 km away from Roorkee on the Dehradun Highway NH-73. It offers four undergraduate courses comprising two Bachelors of Arts and two Bachelors of Sciences with specialisations such as Journalism, Mass Communication, Animation, and UI Design.

The School of Media Studies and Design has all kinds of facilities helping in making the students' college life more enriching. The institute is fully equipped with separate boys' and girls' hostels that are fully protected, providing a very lively environment for the students to bond with each other. Wi-Fi services extend to the whole hostel area for keeping them connected. The institute has a well-equipped gym for the fitness enthusiasts and a cafeteria with healthy meals in a relaxed atmosphere. Sports facilities encourage physical activities and team spirit. The jewel in the crown of the campus is the auditorium with a seating capacity of 550 fully equipped with modern multimedia facilities to hold conferences, seminars, and cultural events. Q' Library, a knowledge centre where access to information in areas like Engineering and Management, amongst others is found.

It offers four undergraduate full-time courses, each three years, which are: BA in Journalism and Mass Communication (Hons), BA in Journalism, English and Political Science (Hons), B.Sc in Animation and VFX, and B.Sc in UI and Graphics Design. The school, through practical and industry-relevant education, tries to prepare students for a career in the Media and Design Sector.

The admission process in School of Media Studies and Design is mainly on merit basis.
