SD Shethia College of Education, Kutch was established in the year 1970. This co-educational institution is affiliated and recognised by National Council for Teacher Education. The college has a 2.57-acre compact campus which enables focused learning among the aspirant teachers. Presently, with an intake of 101 students and a staff strength of 6, SD Shethia College of Education is offering only one program: a degree course in Bachelor of Education, B.Ed., indicative of rather specialised focus on the part of this institution in regard to teacher training.

The facilities within the college are many to support academic development and personal development for the students. The library is used as the core resource centre, providing access to a wide range of educational materials and literature. In addition, well-equipped laboratories offer facilities in the practical aspects of teacher training for hands-on experience in the respective field of study. Admission to SD Shethia College of Education is done on a merit basis in conformity with policies of the State Government, UT Administration, and affiliating University. This minimum eligibility shall be decided as per the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination and entrance examination.
