SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences Dharwad is a pioneer institute in the field of nursing education, it started in the year 2006 located at Manjushri Nagar, Sattur, Dharwad – Karnataka. The Indian Nursing Council affiliated co-educational institute has opened its doors to offer a variety of nursing courses in multiple specialty fields. This institute that sits on a large 80 acre land has been able to take in 377 total students and has a total number of faculty that is 13. The Kurnool based institution SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences is accredited liberal education in nursing with 7 courses at 3 levels; undergraduate, postgraduate and Diploma courses.

SDM Institute of Nursing Sciences is proud to be equipped with modern facilities that enables it to provide the needed learning environment to its students. Full time programmes offered in the Institute: Information Technology has 7 full time courses: undergraduate, Post Graduate, Diploma. A total of 100 students are admitted to the B.Sc Nursing regular course, M.Sc Community Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing , Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing and Psychiatry Nursing admits limited number of students for specialization. Also offered are a GNM diploma course and Post Basic B. Sc Nursing, for which the institute offered a total of 377 students.
