Affiliated College; SDV College of Arts & Science, Alappuzha; Location: Sanathanapuram P.O, Kalarcode, Alappuzha – 689 546 Kerala, India; Year of establishment: 2013. This is relatively young institution that has quickly expanded to provide any form of education from the undergraduate level to postgraduate level. Currently, the student enrolment is 368, while the faculty strength is 29, thus excluding the issue of high student-faculty ratio much emphasized today. There are 8 courses available in SDV College which is divided into 5 degrees Offered Discipline: Commerce, Journalism, Biotechnology, and English.

SDV College of Arts & Science has in place facilities that may be used to supplement the learning process of the students enrolled in the college. A good library is an important reference centre; the library is equipped with various books and national journals for academic use. It has streamlined IT facilities with a perfect PC hall, possessing new generation of IT tools and software. This lab is very useful for many courses that involve practicals in software, multimedia and web based technologies. Science students on the other hand the college offers departmental laboratories to enhance practical learning. Apart from academic activities, SDV College adopts a balanced development model with sporting amenities provided to enhance students access to sports. The campus also has an auditorium where it conducts events and seminarians to enhance the life of the campus. A cafeteria on site serves the purpose of feeding the staff and students as well as offering social station for the students to relax and eat.

Concerning programmes, SDV College of Arts and Sciences offers both under graduate and post graduate programmes. The institute has 8 full time programmes: B.Com. in Travel and Tourism Management, BBA, BA in Journalism Mass Communication and Video Production, B.Com. in Computer Applications, B.Com. in Finance and Insurance. They also have other specialised courses like B.Sc in Biotechnology and Botany, B.Sc in Chemistry and BA in Communicative English. The college educates the postgraduate level with M.Com in Finance. All these courses are offered as full time programmes to allow for effective coverage of the course content.

The steps used to grant admission to the SDV College of Arts and Sciences is simple and easy to understand.
