SFGC is a reputed college, founded in 1992 at Yelahanka New Town, Bangalore full known as Seshadripuram First Grade College. This affiliated college established under the organizer of the University of Calicut is recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and provides many general and specialty study programs in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The SFGC spread over 2.9571 acre has a total strength of 3099 students and 42 faculties on board. 

There is an amazing offer of 9 courses offered under 6 degrees with specializations in Commerce, Computer applications, business administration and Sciences. SFGC is coed; slightly over three fourths of the students are male while one fourth of them are female.

The undergraduate programs comprise of programmes like B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Electronics, B.Sc in Biotechnology, Genetics, and Bio chemistry, B.Com in Big Data Analytics. For postgraduate programmes SFGC offers M.Com, M.Com in Finance and Accounting and MBA. The total approved intake for the Undergraduate courses is 1090 and out of this B.Com has the maximum number of seat, which is 500.

The college also provides scholarships; 376 undergraduate students were reimbursed under scholarships in the 2022 academic year.
