Sha-Shib College Bangalore was set up in 2010 and is an affiliated college situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, one of the most happening cities of the state. Located at the distance of 3kms from Yelahanka Air Force Station, the college has one of the compact piece of land of 0.19 acres only. Having its total students’ strength of 254and its faculty strength of 16, Sha-Shib College is a small college. The institution has five underpart programmes; the programmes offered cut across all four disciplines to meet the students’ education needs on various fields. Despite the absence of special accreditations and ranks the college aims to provide quality education in selected areas of specialisation.

Sha-Shib College operates various facilities to ensure that students are offered a perfect learning experience. It is enhanced by a well stocked library of textbooks, and new updated magazines, journals, and periodicals together with several audio visual aids. The campus has well equipped electronics, para- medical and science laboratories and a computer laboratory with internet facilities. Available to anyone interested in sports and fitness is a college with sports facilities for any kind of sports exercise, and weights for gym. The institution also has a separate facility for housing male and female students, in addition, the two hostels have their own kitchen. Other facilities are health centre where first aid treatments are made, canteen and means of transport for day scholars.

At present, Sha-Shib College teaches five full-time undergraduate programmes all of which are regular courses. At the present time the college is admitting 254 students to all of its programmes. Specific data of the graduates of the latest year cannot be obtained, then the college is aimed at preserving the quality of graduates. The courses provided cut across several faculties and the students are prepared for various fields of their chosen discipline like management, commerce, BCA (computer applications), fashion design, BA journalism and so on.

It will be easy to understand that Sha-Shib College has kept its admission process very simple and very much relaxed. Most of these require prospective students to accomplish the prescribed application form that is usually included in the college prospectus. In this case, it is important that applicants provide completed forms before deadline set by the college. The admission process strongly follows the guidelines set down by Bangalore University as well as the Karnataka state government.
