Shaheed Baba Deep Singh College of Education, Fatehabad, was established in the year 2007 and is a co-educational institution. The college is approved by NCTE and NAAC. Within a 1 acre campus, the college runs two education-based streams with total student enrollment of 380. The institute has a faculty strength of 17 in its campus to maintain a commendable student-to-teacher ratio.

The college has several facilities given for the improvement of its students. The library is one of the important resource outlets and is sufficiently supplied with more than 9,500 general books plus more than 1,250 reference books, besides subscriptions to 17 monthly and annual journals. Hostel facilities for female students are also excellent, with an intake capacity of 500 residents. The procedure in the admission to Shaheed Baba Deep Singh College of Education will be followed through each program. The admission to the B.Ed course will be on the basis of merit which is prepared according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The merit list for the D.Ed program will be prepared from the percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2 examination: Arts 35%, Science 35%, Commerce 28%, and Vocational 2%.
