Shaheed Kanshi Ram Memorial College Mohali, was brought into existence in 1974 and is a co-educational college situated at Kharar, Punjab. This affiliated college in spread across a 20 acre and has a wide spectrum of under graduate and post graduate courses. The college has recently got affiliation from NAAC / National Assessment & accreditation council which proves that the college has very much concern in providing quality education. Affiliated to Bangalore University, it has an annual student intake of 480 and a faculty of 10 which gives it a perfect environment to grow in. It was observed that Out of the 79 programmes offered by the college, 5 programmes cut across 5 degrees and well known programmes in Arts, Commerce and Computer Applications.

Shaheed Kanshi Ram Memorial College has facilities that supplement the education of its students. Gurukul acts as a knowledge centre to the students where a great number of academic transactions take place. As for sports lovers there are various recognised athletic amenities that are availing to the students in order to maintain health and sportsmanship. The institution hereby acknowledges the place of technology in current education provision and has made provision for strong IT facilities that are frequently updated. Shaheed Kanshi Ram Memorial College provides the following five full time courses to cover a broad field of education. Undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses are offered to the students by the institution ;- BA , B.Com  and MA Punjabi etc. The total enrolment in students in all the courses is 480, proving the capacity of the college to admit a number of prospective students every academic year.

The admission plan which is introduced at Shaheed Kanshi Ram Memorial College is highly flexible and the same is bias free. For most courses admission is according to merit lists compiled by the college. Interested candidates must apply for the course and may be invited for an interview or to produce their documents. For instance, the BCA programme admit candidates on merit list; the selected students then required to come for an interview accompanied by parents/ Guardians. Likewise, the college of the PGDCA programme prepares a list of merit for the students and those students are provided with the dates of the interviews along with the document verification.
