Shalom Institute of Management Studies, Berhampur (simS) is an esteemed management institute was founded in the year 2010. This affiliated college is at Berhampur, Odisha and has been catering the needs of aspiring hotel management students for more than a decade. SIMS at a strength of 121 total student intake gives quality education in Odisha and especially in Bhubaneswar. The institute offers four unique programs in the area of hotel management and operation for diploma, degree & post graduate level education stream.

It is for this reason that SIMS boast of a number of facilities that expand student learning and development. On the social site of the campus, the hostel facilities exclusively for boys and girls are available and provide double and triple sharing basis. The boys’ hostel capacity is 100 students while that of the girl’s hostel is 50 students. The two hostels offer medical services in order to meet the health needs of the inhabitants. Caters to the health freaks of the fraternity and accommodated within the campus is a fully equipped gymnasium with latest gadgets like treadmill, recumbent cycle and multi-gym etc. Sports is also given great importance in the institute, for having sports facility for students to cultivate and to build up team spirit, to be fit in their health.

To satisfy needs of the hospitality industry, the curricula at SIMS are designed to provide specialist education. The institute offers four full-time courses: MHM, BHM, Diploma in Hotel Management and Diploma in Hotel Operations. These programs are therefore aimed at preparing the students to be productive in the highly challenging area of hospitality. Although it is unclear how many students are to be offered a seat in each of the offered courses, the total of 121 students bears the explicit image of an environment that values students and is personalized.
