Shams-Ul-Uloom College of Education, started working in the year 2003, is an affiliated college in Markapur, Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh. It is a co-educational institution approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, which ensures quality standards in teacher education. The 7.2-acre campus offers courses in education with a total enrolment of 248 students, against which it has faculty strength of 19 dedicated teachers who would ensure that the ratio of students to teachers is favourable for an aspiring teacher.

Shams-Ul-Uloom College of Education has all kinds of facilities, starting from education-related to other developmental activities for the students. Shams-Ul-Uloom College of Education offers three full-time courses in the field of education. B.Ed, M.Ed, and D.El.Ed. The approved intake of seats is 100 for B.Ed and 50 for D.El.Ed. The variable offerings have the advantage of allowing students to pursue their educational goals in a rather flexible order.

The admission process to Shams-Ul-Uloom College of Education is merit-based, on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and entrance tests. The admission policy in the college is formulated in accordance with the state government/UT administration, and the affiliated university.
