Sharan College of Education for Women, Kangra, was set up in the year 2004 and is a premier womens college of Education in Himachal Pradesh. This affiliated college, located near Mandi-Pathankot Road in Ghurkhari, Kangra, is loacted on 2.85 acres having approved by teh National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). There are two teacher education programmes offered at the institute with a total student enrolment of 294 and all of the student are female. A strength of the college infrastructure is existence of 10 members of teaching faculty which translate to better student teacher ratio necessary for quality teacher training institutions.

B.Ed programme session intake is 100 seats and D.El.Ed programme intakes 50 seats Total 150 seats are available for both programmes. Both programmes are for two years’ duration whereby the programmes are intended to allow the students toacquire all that is required to make competent teachers. The admission criteria of Sharan College of Education for Women are solely on the basis of merit of the candidate through marks in the qualifying exam and/or entrance test.
