Shekhawati College for Education, Sikar is affiliated college and located in Losal Sikar, Rajasthan state was started in 2007. This is a co-educational college, which is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) that gives assurance of quality education in the sphere of teacher training. Located in a 0.79 acre piece of land, the college provides two courses of study totaling a student enrolment of 288. The institute has 16 committed members in the faculty and thereby maintains a healthy student teacher ratio. Shekhawati College for Education is dedicated to creating a new generation teacher through its specialized program and intern teaching model.

The college offers a variety of facilities which can supplement the learning process of the college students. The substantial library is well equipped with necessary books for study and research related work. There is an arrangement of having a cafeteria within the compound to address the additional needs of the students and the staff. The college has a auditorium where different seminars are conducted, and sometimes even other occasions needed to support the learning environment.

The Shekhawati College for Education comprises of two regular courses in Education field. The total intake capacity in both programs is 150 and aims at producing competent educators at various tiers. The two years B.Ed program has an intake capacity of one hundred students and the other two years D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course has an intake of fifty students. 

These programs are intended to prepare students for professionalism in the teaching field with the provisions of skills, knowledge, and tool. The truth is that the said college offers basic requirements for any prospective teacher and the emphasis placed on the above-listed core education courses could not have been placed in vain.

The Shekhawati College for Education provides admission from the merit scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Admission details are as per the policy of state government , UT Administration and the affiliated university For B.ED program, there is regular and self financing both. The D.El.Ed program also measures the pattern as like the U.G.C guidelines, the admissions will be on the merit of the qualifying examination or entrance test as per the state government or UT administration announced.
