Shekhawati Girls Engineering College, Dundlod also recognized as SGEC is one of the most sought after Women’s Engineering College in India was established in the year of 2003. This affiliated college of Rajashthan is located at Jhunjhunu and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). SGEC which is iso celebrated institution aim to offer quality technical education for girls only in the field of engineering. With central focus on providing education for female engineers, the college provides four streams of B.Tech in the following disciplines.

SGEC has various facilities that it term as additional learning facilities and development structures for the learners. The college has a resourceful library facility whereby students have an opportunity to get all their learning materials and reference books from the college facility. In case of physical activity, a gym has been provided for members on site. 

The college also provides some sports amenities which each student is supposed to use in order to balance between his/her books and the body. In order to meet the technological demands of the new generation education system, SGEC offers the facility of proper, sound and well equipped information technology along with Wi-Fi facility in the entire campus. A cafeteria is designated so that the students can break away from the classroom and interact with other students between the learning sessions. In a similar perspective, the college has a girls’ hostel which means students from different regions will find comfortable and safe accommodation.

There are in all, four full time B.Tech programmes in the institute and all the programmes are of a four year duration. Offering them would focus on major branches of engineering with Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. The sanctioned intake in these courses is 330 and there are many openings waiting for the young ladies who want to be engineers. As for each course, it is aimed at giving the students a clear and easy path into understanding the mentioned fields, as well as to equip them with the necessary and sufficient skills for facing the unforeseeable conditions of the contemporary tech world.

Regarding the admission policy at Shekhawati Girls Engineering College Dundlod there are certain basic policies of admission which are as follows: Admission procedure is simple and one has to clear certain admission test conducted by the college on merit basis. However, it has not given details of the exams which are conducted by it but like most of the engineering colleges in India a score in the engineering entrance exams conducted at national/state level could be considered for admission.
