Shekhawati Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) was set up in the year 2009 and is situated at Sikar, Rajasthan It is a well known institution. This affiliated college is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and presents multiple courses in engineering for a degree of bachelor’s as well as a master’s degree. Located on a large piece of land of twenty acres at present, SIET has grown into an institute of technical learning in a very short span of time. With the total student intake of 358 and 121 faculties, the institute follows the strength that allows a good student faculty ratio so as to teach and educate students efficiently.

In addition, the institute highlights a number of facilites that are aimed at improving the learning experience of learners. For its academic programs, the campus has functional laboratory facilities in areas of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, and Geography. These labs are equipped with modern day tools and equipments, and practical and experimental setup to enable the student practical exposure. 

A remarkable feature of IT infrastructure in SIET is estimated with more than 250 Pentium IV computers with licensed operations system and High bandwidth 10 Mbps BSNL broadband link. This strong foundation guarantees that students have apposite and contemporary academic tools and technologies.

SIET provides almost all the possible engineering courses one can think of with those different fields of specialization in mind. Currently, the institute offers 6 full time B.Tech programmes and has 3 M.Tech programmes which are offered in response to current market changes. The B.Tech programs include Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Agricultural Engineering while the M.Tech programs includes electrical Power Systems, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and engineering respectively. The intake capacity of SIET is 458 for all the courses offered with an aim to build professional engineers to meet the practical needs.

Shekhawati Institute of Engineering and Technology lays down some guidelines for admissions because it is concerned with the admission policy and the concerned authorities try to be as fair as possible while admitting students for its courses.
