Shia Post Graduate College of Lucknow, established in 1919 is a respected college in Uttar Pradesh, India. The college sprawls over 13.2 acres and imparts various courses, 41 in number, under 8 degree students. Some of the popular courses are B.Com, which has an intake of 700; BA English, which has 420 seats; BA Sociology, with 480 seats; and LLB, with an intake of 320. Some of the other specialised programmes of the college include B.Sc Chemistry, B.Sc Mathematics, and the MA programmes in such subjects as Sociology, Urdu, and Journalism and Mass Communication. All programmes are full-time, thus ensuring thorough and intense learning experiences for students.
