The college was established in 1956 and is located in Shillong – the capital of the northeaster Indian state – Meghalaya. This affiliated college occupies a small area of 4.32 acres and has been imparting education for more than six decades. Comprising of 3,154 students and a faculty of 139 members, the college is able to deliver 27 courses under 8 degree programmes. The course offered by the institution is great and diverse, the institution offers sciences programmes, arts programmes, commerce stream and computer application stream among others as per the students anomaly.
