Shillong Commerce College is a promising college which commenced its journey in 1986 at Shillong-Meghalaya. This affiliated college is located in a small piece of 1.0903 acres of land; however, this institution has been providing its commendable service in commerce education for more than three decades. Jacobs is a NAAC accredited college and this is an indicator that the government supported college has vowed to produce quality learners. Shillong commerce college has 783 students and 25 members in the faculty which make our condition very appropriate to focus and build professional commerce students.

Shillong Commerce College features a number of resources that aim at improving learning environment of the learners. Boasting on these facilities, the heart of these amenities is the library, managed by the LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE”. It libraries a wide range of books, newspapers, magazines, and journals that enhance the research work of its students. For the party animal or someone with zeal towards sports the college provides Basketball/Volleyball/Tennis court and for other it provides Badminton court and nearby ground for Football/N Cricket. College Week organised every year includes a number of events of indoor and outdoor games and sports helping to nurture the aspect of healthy competition among the students.

Shillong Commerce College currently offers two undergraduate programmes in commerce: B.Com and B.Com (Hons). They are both day-Release programmes offered over three years and known as the ‘full-time’ courses, with the aim of producing schooled pupils proficient in several areas of commerce and business. Although the colleges have not given the exact number of seats to its different programmes, still the total intake capacity of the college is 783, and hence a large scope is available for commerce students in the region.
