Shishu Ananta Mahavidyalaya, Balipatna also known as SAMV Balipatna was established in the year 1978. SAMV courses are offered under various disciplines such as Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Commerce and Sciences at the undergraduate levels in the BA, BA Hons, B.Sc and B.Sc Hons degree courses. SAMV Balipatna admissions to undergraduate courses are done based on marks of the 12th standard obtained by the candidates. 

SAMV college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a ‘C++’ grade. Shishu Ananta Mahavidyalaya Balipatna is an affiliate college of Utkal University, Balipatna. SAMV Balipatna college has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and now it is a permanent degree college.
