Shivpati Mahavidyalaya, Siddharthnagar, which was started in 1964, is a co-educational college situated at Shohratgarh town of U.P. This much-acclaimed college is located in the1.5 acre area and is imparting education through various numbers of undergraduate courses in arts and science stream. The total strength of the students offered for admission in this college is 900 while there is 14 faculties present to teach the students. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Shivpati Mahavidyalaya conducts 4 courses in three types of degrees focusing in arts, science and education. 

The college has a variety of facilities that are aimed at improving the delivery of knowledge in the college by targeting the students. A reading room bestows the knowledge and a department wise laboratory allows practical learning for science students. It also has a good IT laboratory and the students are always knowledgeable with the current technological development. In events related to sports, the college has different amenities for those interested in the events. For the male students they have the opportunity to live in the boys’ hostel accommodation, which makes them feel quite comfortable. The campus also has a health centre where am first aid is available, a canteen for feeding and a gymnasium/auditorium for instance, for occasions such as seminars. also for faculty and students visiting guest house is provided for the accommodation of their families as well. There are four full time courses offered at Shivpati Mahavidyalaya in three degree programs only. 

These are a BA programme, B.Sc programmes in Physics Mathematics and Chemistry, and Zoology, Botany and Chemistry and a B.Ed programme. Individual course seat allocations are not exercisable but the college confirms total student admission capacity of 900 for all programs. The different courses available provide a means to meeting the different learning needs and career fulfilment of students in the region. 

Admission in Shivpati Mahavidyalaya is different for different courses that a student wants to pursue. Admission requirements for B.Ed program includes merit, prior performance on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or any entrance examination, if applicable. The discharge of the admission policies of the college is done as per the directions of the state government, UT administration and the affiliated university.
