Shree Kaniram College, Kekar, Barmer, established in the year 2015 is an affiliated college. Despite it is still young institution, it has been fast growing and gaining reputation as one of the educational institutions in the region. Ideally located in a small plot of 2.29 acres, the college has a narrow range of three undergraduate programs. In all, Shree Kaniram College has a total of 738 students and a total number of faculties are 15 hence we have small class size. The education college has been granted accreditation from the National Council for Teacher Education or NCTE to make sure quality education in the teacher education course.

The college is equipped with facility that is meaningful towards improvement of the students. It has a well stocked library acting as its knowledge base through books, text books, reference books and magazines from different fields. Computerization facilitates library journale where e-journals and digital resources help students update themselves with new phenomenon in their disciplines. 

For practical sessions, the college has well-equipped laboratories that meet demand for scientific development and an audio-visual wing to support tutorial aids such as videos. In matters of games sports freaks have an open opportunity of practicing Bad-minton, Cricket and Football etc thus maintaining the work and play ratio in equal balance. It also caters the health needs of students through services from doctors on call and free consultation and first aid With regard to specialty, the college has linkages with specialty hospitals near the college.

Shree Kaniram College offers three full-time undergraduate programs: BA, B.Sc, B. Business, Bio Tech, BBA, BE, BCA, B. Computer, B. Tech, LLB, B. Com and B. Ed. The BA program which has been approved with total 320 intake capacity is the largest program best suiting the college’s focus on humanities and social sciences. Another programme known as Bachelor of Education widely offered to students intending to become teachers has a student intake of 100. 

Though the exact intake for the B.Sc program is not clearly mentioned it complements the existing streams of the college for students who want to pursue scientific fields. Each of them is designed as a full-time course; students get all-round education as well as everyone meets faculty face to face most of time.

Even for admission, the process is different depending on the course of study in Shree Kaniram College. For the B.ED program normally there is competition because the college admits students who have met the required cutoff marks. Applicants are supposed to clear Pre Teachers Entrance Examination (PTET) conducted by an university as per NCTE. This examination produces its results which are printed in leading newspapers and dates of counseling sessions.
