Shree L.R. Tiwari Degree College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Thane, started in the year 2018, has carved out a niche for itself in the space of education in Maharashtra. Situated inMira Road East, Thane, this college provide undergraduate courses with varied number of combinations. Like most other affiliated colleges, it comes under the University of Mumbai. The institution has a total of 794 students and while the faculty can teach is comprised of 21 members so the institution has a pleasing students to the teacher ratio. It offer 12 courses across 4 degree programmes the college offers the student diverse choices in Arts, Commerce as well as Science streams. 

Shree L.R. Tiwari Degree College fully participated in assuring a comprehensive learning environment with all requisite amenities to impart education that improves the student’s skill. This campus is well endowed with a library as a source of knowledge for learners. To support practical teaching and learning activities, the college has fully equipped laboratory such as a language laboratory which can accommodate 30 students to improve their English and communication skills. Especially significant is the IT infrastructure that is an airconditioned computer laboratory which has LCD facilities and individual computer access for students controlled by the IT and computer skilled personnel. 

At present, Shree L.R. Tiwari Degree College teaches twelve undergraduate programmes, all of which are conventional, full-time programmes. The course that are offered by the institutes are conventional ones as well as specialised ones like BA Multimedia and Mass Communication, B.Com Banking and Insurance, BMS along with B.Sc Information Technology. This shows another area that’s got the college’s approval of taking in 794 students for all the courses offered showing that the colleges can take in a large number of students. 

The criterion of admission of students in Shree L.R. Tiwari Degree College is mostly academic merit in confirmation to the admission timetable set by the University of Mumbai. For the purpose of admission of the BA programme, the institution directly offer seats to the candidates on merit basis while the seat reservation laws are duly followed by the institution. The academic performance in qualifying examinations is most welcome in the selection process. The college does have an alumni, which forms a base that may be useful to the current students especially in offering them employment and trainer opportunities.
