The Shri CB Guttal Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital was set up in 2004 in Dharwad, Karnataka, and is reputed among students and faculty. This affiliated college is also approved by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) and offers education in Ayurveda alone. Located on a fairly large land area of 14 acres, the college provides an appropriate environment for education as well as clinical practice of the Indian System of Medicine. The Shri CB Guttal Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital today has been providing only one full-time programme and it is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). This extensive course takes six years and covers all the areas of knowledge and skills required for adequate prevention, diagnostic, and therapeutic work in Ayurvedic medicine. This college has an approved capacity of 50 seats for this programme hence making the admission process competitive but not restrictive. The flow of graduates of the programme in the latest year is not stated; however, the college has the enrollment capacity of 233 students across different years, incessantly producing aspiring Ayurvedic practitioners.
