This is one of the renowned technical institutes in Bharatpur, Rajasthan which was set up 1984 named as Shri Gokul Verma Government Polytechnic College. This is an affiliated college owned by the government and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to delivers quality education in the engineering spectrum. The college occupies a vast piece of land of approximately 11.81 acres, thus providing suitable learning environment. The institute takes 440 students in total and has 11 faculties which makes student to teacher ratio ideal and provides an environment of coaching.

A fully furnished library accommodated a hunt down of 20,389 books along with book bank of 7,607 especially helpful to the needy students of the society. There are three full-time diploma Streams offered at Shri Gokul Verma Government Polytechnic College for a period of three academic years. These are; Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Electrical Engineering. The total intake is 140 across these programmes, Civil Engineering being the highest, 60 while Mechanical and Electrical Intake are at 40 each.
