Shri Maharshi Dadhich Sanskrit Teachers Training College, Kota: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shri Maharshi Dadhich S.M.S. Teachers Training College Founded in 2005 is one of the leading colleges situated in Kota (Rajasthan) providing education in the field of Sanskrit. This college for both male and female students is spread over an area of 2.19 acres is for education prospects. Recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and affiliated by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college includes various teacher training courses. Presently, the total number of students in the institute is 557 and the number of faculties is 12 student-teacher ratio is thereby favorable for learning. This college provides 3 courses under 2 degrees and focuses on B ED and integrated B ED programmes as the college aim to produce Teachers for all fields.

The college has a variety of amenities that will help to develop students’ potential to learn more effectively. It is a matter of great pride for the library that it is the store house of academic books including text books, journals & magazines & periodicals in Hindi totaling to 5940 including course related books. For students, the library has offered a solid and ventilated reading room. All these laboratories are fully equipped for the college, and include psychological, educational technology, as well as ABB aids laboratories. The available apparatus in the psychological laboratory includes apparatus for simple exercises, for intelligence, aptitude, and creativity tests as well as personality scales, and in the educational technology laboratory, there are assorted audiovisual aids and art materials.

At present there are three formal courses taught at SMDCSTC, all of which are bachelor’s degree programmes in teacher training programme. These include a two-year B.Ed programme and two four-year integrated programmes: BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed. The college has total student intake capacity of 400 Seats in all the courses offered in the college. The flagship course is the B.Ed programme that has the capacity to admit two hundred students and the integrated programmes: the BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed programmes admitting one hundred students each.

Candidates are registered and admitted for the course on the basis of merit through the percentage of marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination conducted by the College. From the admission aspect, the college is in compliance with the rules and regulation of the state government of Rajasthan and the university of affiliation. For the B.Ed programme which is the main course offered here, admission is given according to the merit list prepared from the marks in the qualifying examination or through a selection procedure according to the rules and regulations of the government and university. 

As with the B.Ed integrated programs mentioned above-Education with Arts (BA B.Ed) and Education with sciences (B.Sc B.Ed) admission process described above are similar but the details for the said courses are not given. As for the information about the scholarship, it is impossible to identify it, yet, the college offers a high quality of education for students in the spheres of teacher training allowing them to build successful careers in the field of education.
