Shri Shakti Degree College, Kanpur was founded in the year 2003. This is an affiliated college by Sankhahari, Harbaspur, Ghatampur, Kanpur Nagar, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The college has its campus built over 4.94 acres, offering the students many opportunities through 8 courses in 7 degree programs. The NAAC has granted accreditation to the college, and approval of NCTE has also been availed, which is an expression of concern towards quality education. With the present student strength of 398 and faculty strength of 39, Shri Shakti Degree College assures of a concentrated learning environment in sciences, arts, and education. 

There are different facilities with which the quality of the student's stay in the college is improved; it also enhances the scholastic opportunities. The library is equipped with reference materials and operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all weekdays, inclusive of books, newspapers, and other e-resources such as computers with internet and OPAC and NLIST facilities. The health and fitness of the institution are tackled with a medical center that gives first aid and periodic health check-ups. For those who love physical fitness, a gym is also on the campus. The college provides facilities for sports for playing different games like volleyball, cricket, table tennis, and badminton. Laboratories for science departments, home science, and language studies are also kept well maintained and equipped by the college to promote practical learning and research activities. Shri Shakti Degree College provides a completed program in study that in the response of wide desires and vocational intentions. The college proposes 8 types of courses: undergraduate and postgraduate; all the courses are the time programs. 

All the problem domains are covered in any field, whether it is within the development of science B.Sc and M.Sc , computer applications (BCA), or education (B.Ed, D.El.Ed). The sanctioned intake of the B.Ed program is 100 and that of the D.El.Ed program is 50 students. The courses have been structured concerning the provision of education along with skills to the students related to their respective fields so that they will be enabled to adopt any further academic pursuit or professional career. 

The admission process at Shri Shakti Degree College varies depending on the program. The admission to the B.Ed and D.El.Ed. programme is made on merit, taking the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination into account. The admission is done under the admission policies of the state government/UT Administration and the affiliated university.  This therefore shows the college's dedication to offering an all-round education since there are many facilities that cater for students who come from out of town.
