Shri Shivpujan Gokul Mahavidyalaya, Ghazipur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shri Shivpujan Gokul Mahavidyalaya was set up in 2015 and is therefore relatively new learning institution based in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Located in Gaharpur Rampur Balbhdra this college is gradually expanding its Courses and facility. The institute is recognized by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) and this sets a demonstration of that quality education especially in the training of teachers. According to the admission records of the college, the college has a total student strength of 185 students and a faculty strength of 1. 

It has deployed various facilities for improvement of educational experience of the college going students. A library is an accumulation of academic and research resources meant to support academic endeavors. The quality Information and technology equipment has received a boost in the institution and this has been extended to students in their learning process. Facilities such as departments provide practical learning area’s essential to fully grasp the subjects taught. To complement the educational needs of the college it has equipped different sports facilities so as to train the students physically as well as in group management. The institution has a spacious auditorium where many occasions, seminars and cultural activities for learning and student’s extra curricular engagements take place. 

Shri Shivpujan Gokul Mahavidyalaya offers two full-time degree programs: B.A and B.ED programs were offered to the students. The B.ED program is a two-year program that has an approved student intake of fifty students from the college concentration in teacher trainings. The BA program is a three-year course in arts and humanities. Though exact number of seats for the BA program has not been mentioned here, the strength of the college is 185 students which refers a large intake capacity for this course as well. These programs are meant to help provide education to the learners with different academic flavors and career paths across the region. 

As mentioned earlier the admission procedure at Shri Shivpujan Gokul Mahavidyalaya differs according to the course. The B.Ed program admissions are merit based, that includes marks scored in the qualifying examination and/ or entrance examination. Regarding admission policy the college remains bound to genuine principles implemented by state government, U.T. Administration and the affiliated university. This also serves to making the selection process a fare and transparent one especially to those individuals interested in becoming teachers. The admission details are not given for the BA program; however, it is understood that the college must follow the same merit system as followed in this part of the world. 

Even if Shri Shivpujan Gokul Mahavidyalaya is relatively young institution it is slowly but steadily building up its position in Ghazipur education panorama. The college focuses on the education of teachers and arts, backed up the amenities and infrastructures of the new generation and the approval of NCTE, the college has its vision towards imparting education in eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. In its future development, the institution has the potential for influencing future educational reforms in the region.
