Shri Swamiji Maharaj College of Education and Sciences, Datia: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shri Swamiji Maharaj College Education and Sciences Datia was set up in the year 2005 and it is an affiliated college situated in District of Datia in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. Located on Jhansi-Datia By-Pass on Unnao Road, this institution is majorly into education and science sectors. The college is also affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located on a 2.002 acres campus, the college provides an enrolment of 287 students and comprises of 38 faculty members. Shri Swamiji Maharaj College provides education in two courses in teaching at bachelors and masters levels.

Shri Swamiji Maharaj College of Education and Sciences facilitates many facilities that support the learning of its students in different ways. A fully equipped library has more than 8600 books and national and international journals, newspapers, and magazines. The library also provides e-resource and book bank service for faculty members and students. The ICT Resource Centre of college contains fifty computer systems and all of these contributes for earning practical knowledge in information technology among the students. There is a Technology Lab to cater for those would be teachers and the teaching aids include projectors, models and charts among others. The campus also provides separate hostels for boys and girls, for the convenience of outstation students. Sporting facilities for students have been provided for this purpose as well as a canteen. There is also a health centre within school compound with a first aid station as well. The college has arranged bus facility from Datia and Jhansi for the students, so that students can travel safely in their college buses.

Shri Swamiji Maharaj College of Education and Sciences at present runs two full time programmes related to education. The total number of first year students that is accommodated in all courses offered in the institution is 150 while at present, there are 287 student enroled in the courses offered by the institution. The college is devoted to offer quality education in teacher training programmes at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels.

Shri Swamiji Maharaj College of Education and Sciences's admission criteria are merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Admission for the B.Ed programme is based on the policies of the State Government, UT Administration and the University to which the college is affiliated. The process is same as above cases for M.Ed programme but also taking in account the policies of central government. Several entrance exams are accepted by the college.
