The Shrimati Kokilabai Gawande Mahila Mahavidyalaya was inaugurated in the year 1991. This is one of the women's colleges affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University at Daryapur, Amravati city, Maharashtra. This women's college finds itself on a sprawling campus of 3.65 acres and has pledged itself to excellence in the pursuit of knowledge. This college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). With a strength of students numbering at 569 and faculty members standing at 10, the college offers personalised student learning experience. The institution has four different courses in two programmes that allow students to pursue their academic interests of wide variety with a sense of career aspirations. 

Shrimati Kokilabai Gawande Mahila Mahavidyalaya has tremendous facilities that enhance the overall learning experience. The library is available from 11 am to 5 pm, and huge collections of books, newspapers, and journals are there to cater to the academic needs of the students. Some of them include: It offers an undergraduate course, BA Marathi Medium, for three years; postgraduate courses include three years for MA Political Science and MA Home Economics, two years for MA in Music. The college accommodates a total of 569 students, which manifests that the total number of aspiring learners can be housed in the institution.
