Shyam Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dausa: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

To meet the educational requirements of the remote region Shyam group founded the Shyam Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) in the year 2012 at Dausa (Rajasthan). This institution approved by the AICTE offers multiple programmes in engineering on its 1.49 acres of land. SIET offers 4 years of B.Tech with 210 seats in the following disciplines. The institute has a faculty of 47 members which makes the ratio of student to teacher relatively small. Ranking data is not accessible, however, SIET stands firm in delivering quality technical education to those intending to be engineers.

Shyam Institute of Engineering and Technology has array of available facilities to boost the student’s experience as follows. The campus has different hostels for boys and girls along with recreational facilities and fully equipped necessary amenities. An academic library in particular is located at the center of the learning institution and hosts numerous materials such as books, journals and digital media. In hopes of promoting student health, the college has a facility that dispenses medicine and a health care dental unit while reaching out to nearby nursing homes. However, for competency, and innovative driven students, the establishment offers an Internet Laboratory that IS opened throughout the year and Wi-Fi accessibility all through the school compound.

Currently SIET has four major B.Tech programmes that take four years each but are provided fully on a full-time basis. They are; Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The intake approved for these programmes is 210 seats and Electrical Engineering takes the lion share of 84 seats. All courses are offered in full time and afford students profound theoretical and practical preparation in frames of chosen specialties.

Like any other institute, admission to the facilities found at SIET is very open and based on merit only. For 70 percent seats in the university and college admission is given to 10+2 passed through Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test RPET. Rest of the seats are categorized: 15% for students from other states of India and 15% for management quota candidates and all these seats are filled through AIEEE now called as JEE Main. This double practice safeguards student’s diversity while at the same time, preserving quality learning institutions. Aspiring candidates should know that the applicability of the Combined Power Test (Main) is mandatory for admission to SIET.
