SSM Howrah: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shyampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya, popularly known as SSM Howrah, is the affiliated college, which came into existence in the year of 1964. It is located in Howrah, West Bengal, and has served the purpose of education in that particular region for almost sixty years. The college occupies an area of 6.49 acres within a campus. SSM Howrah offers 17 diversified courses in 6 different degree programs, with a total student enrollment of 4,149. 

The college has many amenities to make learning easier. The library is a knowledge hub, and all students have access to it through valid identity cards. For sports lovers, SSM Howrah has a large playground, a well-equipped multi-gym, and a Physical Education department. The IT infrastructure has not been left behind, with the college already setting up four computer laboratories with the aid of RUSA funds and college aid. These labs cater to the needs of the Computer Science, Commerce, and Mathematics departments. The campus is fully fitted with projectors and laptops to improve learning experiences. Students can also be provided with a digital classroom complete with provisions for projections and other modern requirements.

SSM Howrah runs a total of 17 courses; all of these are full-time programs. The courses have been extended over the major three disciplines: Arts, Commerce, and Science. It has both general and honours degrees for students to opt either for broader education or specialized fields in their chosen fields.
