Sidhu Kanhu Birsa Polytechnic, established in 2009, is an affiliated college located in Keshiary, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. This technical institution, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, offers diploma programmes in engineering disciplines. Its compact 9.59 acres of campus holds this polytechnic with a total enrolment of 360 students, having a strength of 15 faculty members. This institute is oriented to the weaker sections of society and aims to provide quality technical education in the branches of Civil and Electrical Engineering, thus enabling the students to have a career launched in these very important sectors.

The polytechnic has a number of facilities to enhance the learning experience for its students. Sidhu Kanhu Birsa Polytechnic currently has two full-time diploma courses; each with a duration of three years. The institute offers 60 seats in Diploma in Civil Engineering and 60 seats in Diploma in Electrical Engineering, adding to a total intake of 120 students per year at the diploma level. All programmes at the institute are aimed at orienting students with the skills and knowledge of the concerned field of technology. 

Admissions to Sidhu Kanhu Birsa Polytechnic are made as per rules laid down by the D.T.E. and are based on the merit of the candidates, most of the polytechnic colleges in West Bengal consider a candidate based on performance either in relevant state-level entrance examinations or on academic records from secondary education.
