Siksha Bikash Seba Foundation B Ed and D El Ed College, Burdwan: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Siksha Bikash Seba Foundation B.Ed and D.El.Ed College, established in 2013, is an affiliated college in Burdwan within the state of West Bengal. This institution is co-educational, approved by NCTE, and has a specialty in the stream of Teacher Education. Spread over a 1.51 acres compact campus, the college runs two full-time courses with a total enrolment of 140 students and a faculty strength of 30.

A sports arena fully equipped with all facilities of a playground and a multipurpose gymnasium encourages physical fitness and impresses upon the future educators the importance of physical education. The auditorium in the college is a multipurpose hall with all modern amenities like projectors and sound systems and a seating capacity of 350 to enable smooth conduct of academic and cultural events. The library is fully computerized and can be accessed through the Internet, and the e-book and print book stock is very resourceful for research studies. Specialized laboratories for Science, Social Science, Psychology, and Computer Studies offer hands-on learning experiences that are very important for the teachers-to-be.

Siksha Bikash Seba Foundation B.Ed and D.El.Ed College offers the following two major courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. Both courses are of two years duration and full time. B.Ed has sanctioned intake of 100 students and D.El.Ed has 50 students. 

Siksha Bikash Seba Foundation B.Ed and D.El.Ed College admits students on merit, which is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college admits students in keeping with the policies prescribed by the State Government of West Bengal as well as that of the affiliated university. Candidates shall be selected to the B.Ed. programme on the basis of merits obtained in the qualifying examination or entrance test or any other selection process as prescribed by the State and University policies. Admissions for the D.El.Ed. programme shall be made based on merit in the qualifying examination and/ or entrance examination as per the policy of the State Government or UT Administration.
