Silda Chandara Sekhar College, Silda, established in 1971, is an affiliated rural college situated in West Bengal, India. The institution offers undergraduate programmes across arts and sciences. The campus area is 19.5 acres, where the college accommodates a total enrolment of students up to 1,099 and a faculty strength of 15 members. Silda Chandara Sekhar College offers 12 courses across 5 degrees—some of the popular ones being in Bengali, English, History, and Mathematics. 

Silda Chandara Sekhar College provides several facilities that would help improve the student experience. This includes a library that has over 26,000 books, periodicals, and journals. The merit list is the basis of admission to Silda Chandara Sekhar College. In the case of honours courses, for calculating the merit point, 10% of the aggregate marks in the best five subjects excluding Environmental Studies in the Higher Secondary or any equivalent examination are added to the marks obtained in the subject or related subject in which admission is sought. For general courses, the merit point is based on the best five marks secured by candidates excluding Environmental Studies in their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
