Sishu Bikash College of Education, established in 2010, is one of the prime teacher-training colleges situated in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. This co-educational college provides future education teachers on a compact campus of 0.9301 acres. The institution has been permitted by the National Council of Teacher Education to conduct two specialised courses: Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education. Sishu Bikash College of Education has a total student enrolment of 196 and a faculty strength of 29, which has maintained an excellent student-teacher ratio, ensuring personalised attention and quality education.

The institute has many facilities that will enhance the learning experience of the students. A well-stocked library will provide adequate resources for the budding teachers. The campus has separate common rooms for boys and girls, with indoor game facilities, to further the objectives of a balanced approach in education and play. Sishu Bikash College of Education offers two full-time courses, each for two years. The B.Ed program, with an approved intake of 100 students, is meant to turn graduates into secondary and higher secondary teachers. 

The admission process to Sishu Bikash College of Education is based on merit. In the case of a B.Ed. course, admission shall be made as per the candidate's performance in the qualifying examinations. For D.El.Ed., the case is similar, with selections made according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance tests, as prescribed by the state government from time to time. The alumina community is also very active because the college fosters a sense of belonging among all.
