SJVP Polytechnic, Harihar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

SJVP Polytechnic, Harihar, set up in the year 2014, is an affiliated college situated in Vageesh Nagar, Harihara, Karnataka. This technical Institute, recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) provides diploma courses in several branches of engineering. Located in an 11.11 acre campus, SJVP Polytechnic have a student strength of 241 and a faculty of 27 members. There are four full-time diploma courses offered by the institute, which offers specialisation in each of the areas of engineering, in order to meet the requirements for technicians and engineers of differing interest.

SJVP Polytechnic boast of having provided a number of services which seek to complement the lessons taught and development of the students. For convenience, the campus has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls for out-station students to afford a comfortable stay. An adequate equipped library plays an important source of information since students get essential studying materials. For those who prefers extensive exercise, the institute provides its own gym and recreational facilities to assure that students are fit and healthily. The college has also equipped an up to date laboratory for practical use according to the various departments of the college. There is an auditorium on the campus and often many events and seminars take place in the campus helping in creating an active academic environment. Other facilities include a canteen, computer, laboratory, a mini hospital with first-aid and a guest house for teachers and their families respectively.

In total, SJVP Polytechnic presents four original diploma courses, which are all delivered as full-time programmes. These courses cuts across all the engineering field to ensure the students have gotten a good grounding in their areas of specialisation. Each programme takes three years for completion and teaches students course content and hands on experience. The institute admit 240 student in total for all courses and Mechanical diploma courses have 60 intakes each. This balanced distribution ensures that central concern and quality delivery of education to all the learners enrolled is achieved.
