Smt. Gentela Sakuntalamma College, Jaggayyapeta, Andhra Pradesh was started in the year 1968 as a Co-Educational Institute. The affiliated college has undergraduate and postgraduate different stream courses and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Spread over a vast area of 15 acres, this college has an intake of 619 students in total, with a faculty strength of 9. The undergraduate programmes involve courses at the college in B.Sc, B.Com, and B.A streams. The postgraduate programmes include M.Sc in Physics and Chemistry and M.Com in Retail Marketing. All programmes are full-time, intending that students acquire conceptual and practical knowledge in their chosen areas. Much attention is paid to education, which is echoed in the very scholarship programmes offered by the college. For instance, during the 2020 academic year, out of the total 104 undergraduate students, 91 received reimbursement, and out of a total of 179 postgraduate students, 86 had their tuition fee reimbursed in order to make quality education more affordable.
