SNKP Government College, Neem Ka Thana Sikar, a co-educational institution was set up in the year 1966. This associated college recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) conducts a variety of under graduate and post graduate courses. NVC is a collegiate institution whose students’ gender makeup means 63.5% male and 36.5% female and the college occupies a campus of 12.63 acres where total enrolment is 13,096 students. The institution has 36 faculty members and offer 17 courses in 6 degree programmes majoring in arts, commerce and science.

SNKP Government College has focused on its goal of ensuring that the students it admits get the best learning experience. It provides various amenities for academic and/co-curricular activities. These comprise of; provision of different hostels for boys and girls to provide adequate accommodation to student from different parts of the country. In addition, the college has adequately stocked library with adequate facilities for the student and lecturers. SNKP Government College provides a total of 17 programmes in which students can pursue bachelor’s as well as master’s degree. The institution has got full courses of study in full-time in a number of fields. At the under graduate level, the college provides conventional courses like B. A, B.Com and B. Sc in Math and Bio groups. The postgraduate courses being offered are MA in History, Geography, Hindi Literature, Political Science, Philosophy, and English; M Stimulators; M Com courses in Accountancy, Commerce, and Management; M.Sc in Chemistry, Zoology, Physics as well as MSc IT and Computer Science. Furthemore, M.Com specialisations are offered at the college namely; Economic Administration and Financial Management, Business Administration, and Accountancy and Business Statistics. The total student intakes for all courses are 13,096 and this has revealed that the institution has the capacity to admit a large number of students.

SNKP Government College has made admission easy and accepting for all students based on merit. The preference of the mode of entry is as follows: For the undergraduate programmes the students are admitted on the basis of their score in the 10+2 examinations. Generally, the admission in postgraduate classes is base on the marks secured in the corresponding bachelor’s degree. Admission to the college occurs in the summer in accordance with the affiliating university’s calendar year while students join college in the July or August of a calendar year. Whereas, the admission to some of the courses may be based on the scores secured in the state level or national level entrance tests if any though none are mentioned. In the 2022 academic year, the institution motivated gifted and needy students by offering them reimbursements; 912 undergraduate students and 155 postgraduate students.
