Sogani Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sawai Madhopur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Sogani Mahila Mahavidyalaya at Sawai Madhopur Rajasthan, is a Women College established in the year 2013. Located in the Rawasa Village of Bonli Tehsil, this college is focused to offered quality education for the female students. This is a conducive environment situates on 4 acres for learning and growth of all the students. Currently, this college has 193 learners and 9 members of faculty making the student to faculty ratio good, thus adequate oversight and consultant are provided. At the present time, the institute is accredited only for one degree programme – the Bachelor of Arts (BA), which corresponds to the institute’s mission as the focus is made on the humanities.

Sogani Mahila Mahavidyalaya has available various infrastructural facilities that is was established aimed at improving the learning process of the students. Surrounding these, is a well equipped library with books issued through an Open Access System. Established to house over 22,680 volumes of books, periodicals, reports and reference materials, the library also offers other related service such as xerox, lamination and spiral binding. E-journals and other on-line resources make the information updated to quench students’ thirst of new information in their areas of specialisation. The particular campus contains rather large and comfortable as a place for students to sit down and have a meal, as well as to communicate and learn in an informal setting. At present, the college is under construction, but when operational, it proposed efficient transport facilities for students from Bonli and nearby areas, plus comfortable on-campus hostel for girls in the future.

At present Sogani Mahila Mahavidyalaya is imparting only one full-fledged course named – Bachelor of Arts (BA) course. It is a three year under graduate programme offered in the faculty of humanities that seeks to educated the students. This single programme provides the college with the ability to direct a lot of effort in producing quality education in the arts and humanities field.

The procedure for admission in Sogani Mahila Mahavidyalaya is very simple and the students are admitted directly on the merit basis. The aptitude for admission is based on performance in the qualifying examinations and general qualifications of the prospecting learners. The approach also makes it possible for the deserving candidates to get the chance to further their studies in the institution.
