Sona College of Arts and Science is one of the youngest institutions that was established in the year 2017 in Salem and has seen rapid growth in a very short period of time in the field of higher education. This affiliated college is situated in Salem, Tamil Nadu, and it provides a plethora of undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes. The college has 1038 students and 120 faculty members so the college has a small student-faculty ratio that allows it to pay attention to individual learners. It teaches 18 courses across 7 degree programmes in information technology, computer science, biotechnology, graphic design, business administration,  and commercial and fine arts.

The college has well-equipped facilities, which help in enriching the students as well as helping them in their learning process. An adequate number of books, periodicals, and non-print materials are available in the library to cater to the needs of science and engineering students, technology, humanities, social sciences, and management faculty. Sports facilities are highly privileged and the college promotes its members engaging in various sporting events. Computer and internet facilities are available on campus, so the students integrate with modern technology and have access to reliable computer equipment. Facilities such as the power system with a 660 KVA UPS system provide practical experience in varieties of specializations.

Currently, Sona College of Arts and Science has 18 courses, all of which are full-time. The current course includes numerous bachelor degrees like B.Sc. Computer Science, Biotechnology, Physics, and Visual Communication, B.Com., BCA, and BBA. The college also offers postgraduate courses such as Master of Arts in English and Master of Commerce. The total approved intake for all courses is one thousand, thirty-eight seats, which shows the ability of the institution to accommodate many and any disciplined aspiring students.
