Sonari Commerce College, Charaideo, came into existence as an affiliated college at Sonari in the state of Assam in the year 1991. The institution is a co-education institution offering various undergraduate courses in arts and commerce. It has provided a congenial atmosphere for learning, academic growth, and all-round personality development amidst its 380-strong student enrolment and its 29-strong faculty. 

A number of facilities make the student experience at this college a beautiful one. For example, there exists a well-stocked library that acts as an operational tool for students and teachers alike. This library follows the policy of lending for stipulated periods which helps the students in the development of reading and research habits. The total number of courses available at Sonari Commerce College is 7 courses that are full time. These courses are the general and honors in Arts and Commerce. Honors specialization in Assamese, Political Science, and Sociology are conducted through the BA Program whereas the course of B.Com offers honors courses in Human Resource Management and Accounting and Finance. General BA and B.Com degrees are also available.
