Soniya Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Deoria: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Soniya Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Deoria, was established in 2016 and is an affiliated, all-women's college in Tilatali Belwabazar, Mahuadih, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Being NCTE-approved, emphasis is on the standard of teaching. Squeezed into a compact campus of 1.25 acres of land, it currently has a vibrant population of 542 students with seven faculty members. 

Soniya Mahila Mahavidyalaya has a wide array of facilities: the academic and personal development facilities availed by college students. The college library functions as the centre of knowledge acquisition through resources needed for learning and research. It is an institute that has very good infrastructural facilities and investment for the IT infrastructure needed to hone modern educational demands. It has also provided the students with sports facilities and a gym for physical fitness and health. Well-equipped laboratories have also been set up where practical learning experiences are given to students. Other facilities present are a health centre equipped with first aid, a canteen for refreshment, and guest house, or a waiting room for visiting faculty and the family member of students. 

The institute, as of now, offers only one full-time course, D.El.Ed, with an approved intake of 100 seats. This is a two-year diploma course for training students for careers in elementary education. Further, a single specialisation program orientation helps the institute concentrate its resources and expertise in ensuring quality teacher training. 

Intake in Soniya Mahila Mahavidyalaya is decided by the state government of Uttar Pradesh. Admissions are generally made on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Entrance examination or other selection procedures may be adopted in some of the cases, as per the policy of state government/UT administration as prevalent at the time being. It provides an opportunity for meritorious students to pursue studies at the institute. Soniya Mahila Mahavidyalaya is dedicated to women's education and serves as an all-women college, which again helps women in empowerment within this region. The relatively young Soniya Mahila Mahavidyalaya is still growing in tandem with its development in the school structure—all in the hope of offering better educational opportunities to the students.
