Sophia Girls College of Ajmer was set up in the year 1919 is one of the premier women’s college situated in the Ajmer City of Rajasthan State. It is a NAAC accredited college affiliated college that was offering various undergraduate and post graduate Programmes. Sophia Girls College is spread on a campus area of 9.9 acres It total number of students which include the regular, the ICSE, the ISC and the junior college students is 1738 There are 74 members of the faculty in the college. Currently, college teaches 24 courses in 12 programmes of education focusing on arts, science, commerce and computer applications. The institute is women ONLY oriented with 88% of female students taking undergraduate programmes and the remaining 12% taking post graduate studies.

They include sports facilities such as a football field, a court for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, a skating ring, and facilities such as laboratories, computers, a library, classrooms, and administration offices, among others. Athletic lovers of the college have playgrounds and courts for basketball, volleyball, handball, softball, hockey, cricket, kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis and ten playgrounds in all. The institution also has a half-Olympic-size swimming pool and a newly developed modern gymnasium. The teaching facilities at this school include a magnificent Science Block containing fine laboratories of botany, zoology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, as well as a Computer Block containing four computer facilities. In cultural and academic activities, the college has an air-conditioned, fully furnished auditorium with a seating capacity of about 500 students.
