South Asian Institute of Rural and Agricultural Management, Imphal: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

SAIRAM was founded in 2018 and it is a young university in South Asia situated in Langjing Achouba, Imphal West, Manipur. This mixed institute endeavours to offer quality education in the faculties of agriculture, horticulture, as well as business management. Situated over an area of 6.52 acres, SAIRAM has enough space to provide the proper environment for learning and personality development. It is a co-educational institute with a total student strength of 75 and 22 teaching fraternities so that each student gets enough attention if desired.

This facility equipped SAIRAM with pride to have the following extra facilities that sought to complement the learning process of students. The institute has adequate laboratories to support practical sections of agriculture and horticulture as major specialisations. A comprehensive library is an information centre that provides students with required and relevant study materials. Over and above, for those who have to stay in the school dormitories, SAIRAM provides both boys and girls guest houses for the comfort of outstation learners. 

An auditorium for use in cases and seminars and events is also available on the campus, making its environment charged with academic activity. Student facilities include places for sporting activities to enable the students to exercise parity between work and play. Current needs for education have also been taken into account while developing IT facilities, and a cafeteria fulfils the dietary demands of students and employees.

In terms of academic offerings, SAIRAM provides three full-time undergraduate programmes: burning crusade agriculture, burning crusade horticulture, and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). It takes 4 years to complete both the B.Sc programmes, while the BBA programme takes 3 years to complete. These courses are intended to prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed in the agricultural and business worlds. The concentration on these particular fields of study is due to its mandate as an institute of rural and agricultural development in the region.

SAIRAM has kept the admission process as open and uncomplicated as possible as far as it is concerned with aspiring students. In particular, information about the entrance exams and the dates for admission is not available at present. Doing so, the young institution of SAIRAM is establishing itself in the region as a centre of innovation in rural and agricultural education in the north-eastern region of India.

Imphal is the capital of Manipur and thus SAIRAM exposes students to culture while concentrating on sectors that can help transform the state. In the process of its further development, the institute seeks to act as a major participant in defining the further development of agriculture and rural management in South Asia.
