All the best!!

Good MBA colleges in this percentile range are:

1.) ITM Navi Mumbai

2.) Apeejay School of Management, Delhi

3.) Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal

4.) School of Communication and Management Studies (SCMS), Cochin

5.) BIMTECH, Greater Noida

6.) N. L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai.

If you belong to a category, then you have chances of getting calls from new and baby IIMs also.

All the best!!

Yes, You have decent chance based on your score to get admission in SPJIMR. If you want to check your other chances you can use CAT Pathfinder tool.

CAT Pathfinder Tool

Good Luck!

Congratulations on your CAT score!!

SPJIMR Mumbai is one of the top private B-schools in India. The SPJIMR cut off, usually on par with other top-rated colleges, has changed little over the years.SPJIMR shortlists candidates for interview on the basis of both CAT score and the candidates' profiles.

If we talk about the cut off on the profile basis then different section and overall cut off to get a call for the further process is:

  • VARC: 75 percentile
  • LR-DI: 75 percentile
  • QA: 75 percentile
  • Overall: 85 percentile

Cut off for profile + score based calls:

  • VARC: 80 percentile
  • LR-DI: 80 percentile
  • QA: 80 percentile
  • Overall: 97 percentile

The shortlisted candidates on the basis of cutoff figures have to appear for Psychometric Test and Group Interview. Work experience, extra-curricular activities are also considered, apart from the SP Jain cut off. Once the cutoff figures are cleared, the past academic record and work experience are also considered during final selection.

All the best!!

In case you are asking for PGDM, it is clearly mentioned officially that work experience is not mandatory and even fresh graduates can apply too.

You can refer to page number 3 in the link attcahed below:

SP JAIN PGDM admissions

The complete selection process is also mentioned.

Various factors are considered for selection of applicants such as-

  • Overall profile
  • Academic background
  • Work experience, if any
  • Entrance scores
  • Versatility and achievements

Good Luck!

Getting into IIMs and other B- schools, a good percentile is what is needed that is given to you based on not just your score, but the scores of the other students taking up the exam. Your percentile depends upon the following factors:
*your score in comparison with - scores of the other students (how better are you as compared to them)
*difficulty level of the exam in that year
*your slot of exam (to certain extent)
*your sectional scores (in VA, DILR, QA)

With this let me bring to your notice that there have been cases wherein a student in one particular year with a score of 105-110 got 81 percentile but another student with the same range of score in the next year got 91 percentile. This variation is attributed to the difficulty level of the paper and performance of students in that level of difficulty.

Moreover, with your decent acads, an attempt of 60+ questions with 95% accuracy will fetch you 98+ percentile. A score of 180 at a moderate difficulty level of paper touches a percentile of 99. So a successful achievement of 99+ percentile might help you in cracking the calls of the creme B- schools ( provided you meet few of their other requirements too.)
Hope this helps.!
Wish you all the best :)

For which course and through which exam cutoff are you asking for?

I was shortlisted for S P Jain's non profile call. I have an average academics. I think those who have a decent cat score, they can get call from S P Jain easily, irrespective of their profile. So if you don't have eye catching profile then it's better to focus on getting higher percentile in cat exam.

First of all, your Grad %age will play a spoil sport everywhere, so check the eligibility criteria of each college separately. Assuming a General category candidate, You will need really good percentile 95-100 as a range for different colleges to cover your lag in graduation. However, your background will surely help especially im SP Jain's profile based shortlisting. Target that.

In SP Jain, they choose students with a good profile and you should have 85 and above percentile in CAT to get shortlisted in SP Jain institute for further rounds.

For profile based calls SPJIMR closely observes your academics, extra-curricular activities, achievements and relevant work experience. You need to be amazing at them. You have an average past academic record so it can be a tough time for you to get admission in SP JAIN.

In JBIMS, you need to aim above 99 percentile through CAT to get admission in their course that is MMS.
Later the past academics and work experience is also considered.

So keep your targets high.
Good Luck.
