Sree Narayana college of Education Muvattupuzha was established in the year 2003 in Ernakulam Dist of Kerala and it is one of the leading Teachers training institutions in Kerala. This co-educational college affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University is approved from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Situated on a 3.07-acre campus, the college offers two full-time courses: B.Ed and M.Ed. The institute has a student strength of 328 students and 28 faculties which means the institute has a healthy student faculty ratio. The fact that the college targets the training of teachers and has well equipped facilities supports it reputation of delivering quality education.

Sree Narayana college can offer student for many commotional amenities that aim at improving the students’ learning. The vast modern library stocks 4295 books and 2550 titles, as well 27 journal subscriptions, 7 magazines and 5 daily newspapers. It also offers materials related to various competitions known as UGC, CTET, SET, and KTET. The currently available ICT lab has 16 computers, provides internet connection and contains a language lab. Some of the other technological facilitation include SmartBoard, OHP, LCDs, and audio visual. The school’s science laboratory is adequate for experiments in Physics chemistry and Biology that are suitable for high school students. Since the college wants to ensure that female students are comfortable the college has arranged for a hostel. There are other facilities which are; a canteen, an auditorium, sports room, and a health center with-A First Aid.

Sree Narayana College of Education has two stream for the teacher education programme. The B.Ed programme offers 150 seats of admission while M. Ed programme offers 50 seats of admission. Both of them are complete courses and take two years each to complete although they can also be combined in part-time studies. Such programmes are intended to provide students with the needed practical skills towards effectively pursuing a career in teaching and educational management. This concentration that the college has depicted on these two central programmes permits depth of focus on teacher education.

As a matter of fact, the admission process of Sree Narayana College of Education is purely on the merit score card in the qualifying examination /entrance examination. Admission procedure of B.Ed programme follows the policy stated by the State Government, UT administration and University. Also in the case of M. Ed programme, the merit policy remains the same as per qualification examination, entrance test or any other test/ examination as per Government and University rules.  As for the concrete scholarship information the college website does not have it; nevertheless, it is possible that the college provides the students with different kinds of financial aid. This means the alumni association of the given institution has an important task of keeping in touch with the former learners, as well as helping the current learners in their various academic endeavors.
