Sree Narayana college of Teacher Education, Kottapuram is a reputed college exclusively interested in cultivating prospective teachers, in the year 2002. This co-educational college is located in Sreekrishnapuram, Palakkad, Kerala and recognized by the University of Calicut and accredited by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Resides in a 4,619 square fee area, the college provides only two educational programmes with a total headcount of 199 students. Sree Narayana College of Teacher Education offers two full-time courses: The minimum requirement for teaching in primary school are a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The B.Ed programme has an approved of 100 students and 50 students in the D.El.Ed programme. Both of the courses take two years and cover both the theoretical and practical aspect of education system. These specialised programmes are well developed in the college and let the student study the methodologies of teaching and the philosophy of education in depth so as to produce a qualified teacher in the field.

Candidate selection for admission to Sree Narayana College of Teacher Education is done through a centrally and fairly administered process. For the B.Ed programme: 50% of the seats are through merit list prepared by the concerned authority of College and remaining 50% of seats are filled by the Management as per University and Government of Kerala norms. Likewise for the D.El.Ed course, admission is done through the affiliation of Kerala government where 50 percent seat are filled by the Deputy Director of Education Government of Kerala and other 50 percent seats by management quota as per the government norms. This way the talents are attracted towards the school while at theuggest ensuring that the class has a mix of talent without compromising on quality.

The college also provides other facilities to cater for accommodation of the students in as much as they engage in co-curricular activities.
