Sree Ramkrishna College of Education, situated in Birbhum, was formed in the year 2017 and is a relatively young institution working to build the future of education. Established in the village Barkuri in West Bengal, this college is co-educational and stands on a small area of 1.65 acres of land. Being an affiliated college, it has got recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to follow a quality teacher education. The institute at the moment has two courses in education , and the total student enrolment in these programmes is 200 and the faculty is as strong as 17 members all committed to teaching.

Sree Ramkrishna College of Education has various facilities to improve the learning experience of the learners in the institution. The college provides a knowledge centre through fully equipped libraries besides improving their physical health, team work through sports facilities. The institution has facilities for all the deparment that help students in their practical training programmes. There are measures to show that health is valued with the college providing a first aid facility. In particular, the the college provide separate hostel facility for both boys and girls so that both male and female students feel comfortable during their stay on the Campus. Another factor that portrays the college with a concept of modern education is its good IT support. Other unique facilities available include large well-proportioned classrooms, an indoor facility for holding events/seminars, and living spaces to accommodate guest faculty and their families.

Sree Ramkrishna College of Education provides two major regular time courses in the stream of education. The B.Ed programme is a two years programme and the college has the permission to admit one hundred students. in additoon, the college also has a two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course. These programmes are special for that purpose to prepare budding teachers for their professional practice in teaching. 

The college offers admission based on the student’s performance in the qualifying exam, and or entrance test if any, for various courses in Sree Ramkrishna College of Education. Regarding the B.Ed admissions, candidates must have to follow the policy set by the state government and the concerned university in which this collage is affiliated. The admission policies of the D.El.Ed programme are based on the policies framed by the state government or UT administration. The admission dates and procedures should be followed according to the given college by the interested students.
