Sree Sastha College of Engineering, Chennai, established in the year 2009, has been providing quality education in the field of engineering. This affiliated college in Chembarambakkam, on Chennai-Bangalore Highway, stands across a vast land of 10.06 acres of area. The institute offers a range of engineering programmes focusing on four key disciplines: Computer Science, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, and Electrical and Electronics. Sree Sastha College of Engineering has the total student intake of 335 and faculty strength of 54 hence, possess a good student faculty ratio.

The college is equipped with various facilities that would complement the general learning provision and achievement in the college. Girls and boys have their hostels and the capacity is 750 and 600 students respectively. These built architectural designs allow a pleasant and environmentally friendly building ambiance that improves learning. The hostels also contain reading section, gym and recreation rooms which make the students experience a full life style. Sree Sastha College of Engineering also has a well equipped library measuring 5200 sq.ft with 7000 books in form of 2100 books on different engineering disciplines. Sport enthusiasts has one of the best sports facilities and a well-equipped modern gym.

At present, Sree Sastha College of Engineering offers four fulltime programmes, the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) course of four years’ duration. These programmes include Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The number of student intake is 335. This shows that the educational approach is probably narrow, being tailored to direct individual attention to each student’s learning path.
