Sri ASNM Government College, Palakol is an autonomous institution that established its foundation in the year 1968 within the West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. Undergraduate to postgraduate programmes are available to the students in the 9-acre campus of the institution. In addition, Sri ASNM Government College, Palakol is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It served 545 students with a male-female ratio of 63:37. The faculty strength is 32 members and offers 17 courses across 5 degree programmes in concentration fields such as Commerce, Arts, and Sciences. 

Sri ASNM Government College aims to create a well-balanced learning ambience with a set of facilities to support and improve the student growth process. The institute provides library facilities, up-to-date laboratories for practical sessions, and health centres with first aid facilities. For the physical comfort of the students, the college has a gymnasium and other sports facilities. The campus has a good IT infrastructure that helps in digital learning. The auditorium and seminars are conducted in this building. The cafeteria is the social centre of students and staff alike. 

Sri ASNM Government College offers a total of 17 courses, both undergraduate and postgraduate. Undergraduate courses comprise full-time courses in Commerce, Arts, and Sciences. The postgraduate level consists of M.Com and M.Sc in Aquaculture. The college has a total approved student intake of 545.
