Sri C. Achutha Menon Government College, Thrissur, which was started in 1972, has been a role model in higher education in Kerala. Kuttanellur is its affiliated college and it is spread over a 25 acre land in Thrissur district of Kerala. The institution has benefited under the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, which accredits institutions with a vision of offering high quality education. Having offered 15 different courses spread across eight degree programmes, the college hosts 1,326 students and 56 faculty members. The college provides variety of disciplines such as Economic, Psychology, Computer Science, and Statistics, and others.

Computer Science, Psychology, Statistics, BBA. and B.Com. At postgraduate level, Courses, offered include, MA in Economics, History, and English, M.Com in Marketing, M.Sc in Psychologist. The college also has postgraduate doctorate in the fields of Commerce, and Economics. Across all the courses offered in the college, the college admits 1,326 students hence maintaining a proper student/teacher ratio in order to enhance proper learning environment.
